Where to get help
This experiment uses imaginary credits, but betting with real money can cause real harm. If it's affecting you or someone you know, help is free and confidential.
National Problem Gambling Helpline
Call or text, any time, anywhere in the US.
That’s 1-800-426-2537. You can also chat online.
Signs it may be a problem
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can afford to lose.
- Chasing losses: betting again to win back what you lost.
- Hiding betting from people close to you, or borrowing to bet.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Betting crowding out work, sleep, money for bills, or time with people.
Things that help
- Talk to someone. The helpline above connects you with local support, including counseling and groups such as Gamblers Anonymous.
- Most states run self-exclusion programs that ban you from licensed sportsbooks and casinos; the helpline can point you to yours.
- Sportsbook apps have deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in their account settings. Bank cards can often block gambling transactions too.
On this site
There is no real money here and we never link to a sportsbook. If even imaginary betting isn’t good for you right now, you can leave the season or delete your account from your account page, straight away.
